Popular Eastbourne is a lovely, elegant seaside town sheltered by the rolling expanse of the South Downs and the towering cliffs of Beachy Head. It enjoys a remarkably mild and sunny climate, therefore earning its reputation as the ‘Suntrap of the South’, even at this time of year, if we’re lucky! Noted for its cleanliness, beautiful carpet gardens, the attractive three miles of splendid, flat promenade and, of course, the pier.
This large luxury hotel, situated on Eastbourne’s Grand Parade, offers stylish yet unpretentious, elegant but relaxed accommodation with welcoming, friendly and professional service. The public rooms enjoy an eclectic mix of contemporary and traditional décor and include a library, lounges, the beautiful Marine Restaurant and Peebles Spa. Each of the modern en-suite bedrooms are served by a lift.

Thursday This morning we travel to historic Rye, one of the original Cinque Ports, with 18th century cobbled streets, quaint cottages and busy weekly market. Now on to Battle a small town that gets its name from the Battle of Hastings that changed the course of English history.
Friday After breakfast we bid a reluctant farewell to our hosts at the Cavendish hotel as we make our way to our home areas, to be greeted by our awaiting taxis.
