Your Itinerary:

Day 1

Sunday Our door to door service takes us to the waiting Club Class coach. We then travel by way of Oxford and Swindon to join the motorway to Devon and Cornwall. We arrive in Newquay late afternoon.

Day 2

Monday A full day tour of the picturesque Atlantic coast visiting St Ives with its charming harbours and cobbled streets and famous for its collection of art galleries including the Tate. This afternoon we journey on to the busy port and market town of Penzance to spend time before returning to Newquay and our hotel with time to relax before dinner.

Day 3

Tuesday A visit to the wonderful Trelissick Gardens, where tender subtropical plants thrive in sheltered glades. Located at the head of the Fal Estuary, the tiered garden takes full advantage of stunning views of Falmouth Harbour and the wide waterway known as the Carrick Road. We depart by boat and cruise on to Falmouth, where the deep water harbour is guarded by the castles of Pendennis and St Mawes, to spend time.

Day 4

Wednesday Departing after breakfast we make our way first to Padstow, still a charming working fishing port surrounded by glorious sandy beaches at the head of the Camel River. Watching the everyday ebb and flow of harbour life is a perfect way to spend time here. It has now also established itself as a ‘foodie destination’ with popular eateries such as TV chef Rick Stein’s Seafood. This afternoon we visit Lanhydrock, a magnificent late Victorian country house with extensive servants' quarters, gardens and wooded estate with a stunning 17th-century gatehouse and long gallery - the ultimate 19th-century 'Upstairs/Downstairs' experience! The house was also the film location for scenes from more recent version of The Three Musketeers and Twelfth Night. We return to Newquay with time to relax before dinner.

Day 5

Thursday A leisurely ride to the cathedral city of Truro. This afternoon is spent at leisure back in our resort.

Day 6

FridayWe depart Newquay after breakfast and begin our journey home. Using the motorways we arrive in our home area late afternoon.
