Watching the everyday ebb and flow of harbour life is a perfect way to spend time here. It has now also established itself as a ‘foodie destination’ with popular eateries such as TV chef Rick Stein’s Seafood. This afternoon we visit Lanhydrock, a magnificent late Victorian country house with extensive servants' quarters, gardens and wooded estate with a stunning 17th-century gatehouse and long gallery - the ultimate 19th-century 'Upstairs/Downstairs' experience! The house was also the film location for scenes from more recent version of The Three Musketeers and Twelfth Night. We return to Newquay with time to relax before dinner.
