We are delighted to return to the small town of Tenby; surrounded by the beautiful Pembrokeshire National Park and considered by many to be the prettiest resort in Wales, Tenby boasts two golden beaches, a picturesque harbour, quaint streets and ancient town walls. Just off shore lies Caldey Island which can be reached on a pleasant boat trip from the harbour. With all this considered, it’s no surprise that this is another of our holidays which has become a firm favourite with our clients!
Affording wonderful views of Tenby Bay, the Park Hotel is peacefully located above Tenby's Blue Flag North Beach with the Pembrokeshire coastal path running adjacent to its landscaped grounds and is just a short walk into the bustling town centre. The hotel offers comfortable and classic décor with modern amenities including an elegant restaurant and their North Cliff Suite & Bar. Each of the en-suite bedrooms are equipped with a flat-screen TV, telephone, radio, hairdryer and tea/coffee facilities and some offer views of the bay. A lift serves all floors. A nightly entertainment programme is include during our stay.
Monday Our door to door service takes you to the waiting Club Class coach for the drive across the heart of England via Shakespeare’s Stratford upon Avon. Continuing on we travel through the Vale of Evesham to make a lunch stop in Ross on Wye. This afternoon we follow the Wye Valley past Monmouth to the south coast of Wales reaching Tenby and our hotel late afternoon to enjoy time to settle in before dinner which will be followed by the first of our nightly entertainment
Tuesday A drive through the beautiful Pembrokeshire Coast National Park via the small villages of Newgate and Solva to tiny St. David’s, Britain’s smallest cathedral city and shrine to the Patron Saint of Wales. Then on to Cardigan Bay before visiting the Wickedly Welsh chocolate factory and shop for an interesting insight into the production of the delightful product and possible tasting of the end result. We return to Tenby over the glorious Preseli Hills with spectacular views. Dinner this evening will include a complimentary glass of wine and be followed by entertainment.
Wednesday A morning drive north through gentle rolling Welsh countryside to the town old county town of Cardigan. Sitting at the mouth of the River Teifi, Cardigan has an impressive Guildhall, an interesting Castle and a delightful quayside. After time to explore we drive along the valley to take a ride on the charming narrow gauge Teifi Valle Railway that offers a nostalgic reminder of the history of steam.
Thursday An enjoyable full day excursion we travel by the vast expanse of Pendine Sands scene of many world land speed records, then Laugharne, the village from where Dylan Thomas wrote a great many of his works, before spending time in the busy historic town of Carmarthen
Friday Leaving Tenby after breakfast, we join the motorway for the drive to England via the Wye Valley and Monmouth. We arrive in our home areas late afternoon to be greeted by our awaiting taxis.
