It gives us great pleasure to return to Sidmouth, a frequent winner of the title ĎBritainís Floral Towní; itís quiet, unhurried and unspoilt. This picturesque resort is situated on the glorious south Devon coast, set between deep red cliffs on the edge of Devonís heathery uplands and the town boasts a pleasant, well-kept atmosphere.
The 3 star family run Royal York and Faulkner is a firm favourite with our clients. It is ideally situated on the centre of the esplanade overlooking the sea and adjacent to the shopping centre. The well-appointed bedrooms are all en-suite and include tea/coffee making facilities and all are served by a lift.
Day 1 Our door to door service takes you from your home to the waiting Club Class coach for the journey to the South West. We spend time in the famous maritime city of Bristol before continuing on to Sidmouth, arriving at our holiday hotel late afternoon.
Day 2 A lovely coastal drive today; first to the picturesque fishing village of Beer, then on to Seaton with its famous tram way to Colyton. We take a return journey on the delightful narrow gauge tram travelling through the beautiful Axe Valley before continuing our scenic ride along the Jurassic Coast back to Sidmouth.
Day 3 A delightful drive through the Otter Valley to Budleigh Salterton, a charming resort overlooked by high cliffs known as the Floors, then on to Exmouth. Devonís oldest seaside resort and one of great naval and historic importance where we include a cruise on the River Exe.
Day 4 We visit popular Tiverton then drive through the Exe Valley to spend time in Devonís capital, Exeter. Dominated by its majestic cathedral, the city offers a rich heritage with an old port, modern shopping area and historic Guildhall, the perfect place to spend some time.
Day 5 Our homeward journey includes glorious Somerset scenery, retracing our outward journey before returning to our home area late afternoon.
