This fabulous holiday has now established itself as a firm favourite with our clients; we return to the dazzling French Riviera for Carnival time and a chance to banish the winter blues. Each year this stunning region, renowned for its sunshine, beautiful beaches and the sparkling blue waters of the Mediterranean, comes alive with music, colour and atmosphere. We include tickets to two great festivals, the wonderful Grand Carnival Parade in Nice and the spectacular Lemon Festival, a huge citrus-scented celebration in Menton. Our tour is based in the popular Italian resort Diano Marina on the Riviera of Flowers.
The excellent 4 star hotel overlooks the bay of Diano Marina and is not far from San Remo and Monte Carlo. Hotel facilities include 2 outdoor swimming pools and its own private beach. All of the stylish 86 en-suite bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning, a minibar, satellite TV and Wi-Fi. A lift serves all floors.

Saturday This morning we travel along the wonderful Corniche road, affording outstanding views, to the delightful hill top village of Eze. Here we make a visit to the world famous Parfumerie Fragonard before continuing to Nice, among its many attractions are the old town and port, a beautiful flower market and the Promenade des Anglais forming an impressive sea front along the Mediterranean, fringed with palm trees. This afternoon we have included entrance to the colourful parade which takes place along the Promenade. On floats decorated with the most stunning floral compositions, extravagantly dressed characters throw out mimosas, gerberas, and lilies into the public. We return to the hotel for dinner this evening.
Sunday A short drive along this spectacular coast takes us to the beautiful town of Menton, just over the border on the French Riviera. In the harbour, new luxurious yachts replace the old small fishing boats. The town is a glorious maze of pretty streets leading up to the Basilica. In between there are quaint shops, markets, chic shops and street cafes. There will be time to view the amazing giant sculptures made of citrus fruits in the Jardins Bioves. This afternoon we take our seats on the Promenade for the procession as float after float of coloured citrus fruit, music and dancing passes us.
