Overview

We are very happy to return to the popular Winnock Hotel in lovely Drymen, situated in a beautiful part of Scotland close to Loch Lomond and the glorious Trossachs. Our inclusive break comes complete with entertainment each evening, scenic visits, a cruise on Loch Lomond and admission to Inverary Castle and gardens

Your Itinerary:



Day 1

Thursday We journey north from our home area via Scotch Corner, Gretna Green and Glasgow to reach our hotel late afternoon, in time for our welcome drinks reception before dinner which includes a glass of wine and is followed by entertainment.


Day 2

Friday After breakfast we collect our packed lunches and make a visit to historic Stirling with its impressive castle and charming old town with time for exploration and maybe a spot of shopping. We re-join the coach for a scenic drive by way of the glorious Trossachs, ‘Rob Roy’ Country and tranquil Loch Katrina before returning to our hotel. There is time to relax before dinner which includes a glass of wine and is followed by entertainment.


Day 3

Saturday This morning we pick up our packed lunches and head north for a stunning mountain drive passing the ‘Cobbler’ then crossing ‘Rest and be Thankful’ we take the shoreline road beside Loch Fyne to reach Inverary. We include a visit to romantic Inverary Castle, ancestral seat of the Dukes of Argyle and Clan Campbell, considered one of Scotland’s finest stately homes. This evening dinner includes a glass of wine and is followed by a ‘Full Scottish Show’ featuring live entertainment.


Day 4

Sunday We make a visit to lovely Loch Lomond this morning to enjoy a gentle cruise on the ‘Queen of the Lochs’. Then spend time in the pretty lochside village of Luss which has featured in many Scottish TV programmes. Back at the hotel a soup and sandwich lunch awaits then a relaxing afternoon. This evening we enjoy dinner, an open bar and more entertainment.


Day 5

MondayWe bid farewell to our hosts before beginning our return journey. We travel to Glasgow and through Strathclyde stopping at Gretna Green, before crossing the border. Now south to return to our home area and waiting taxis early evening.
