Day 2

Monday A leisurely Scottish breakfast before we depart Gretna travelling to Moffat in the gentle Lowther Hills stopping at the Grey Mare’s Tail waterfall before driving through impressive border countryside to reach Peebles on our way to Edinburgh. We include a short tour of both the New & Old towns before time at leisure in the vibrant city. This afternoon we cross the new Forth Bridge and make our way to the Hotel Indigo in Dundee, arriving late afternoon.

Tuesday Today we head for Blairgowrie and along Strathardle to the popular town of Pitlochry where we take a break, moving on we make our way to historic Perth. The famed Black Watch Regiment was formed in Perth and their Castle and Museum is situated on the city’s most beautiful park, the North Inch. Perth has much to offer, we have a lunch break here with time to explore. Later we return to the hotel in time for dinner.

Heading inland via Cupar to the coast we enjoy a lovely coastal drive through the villages of Elie, Pittenweem and Crail on the way to St Andrews, world renowned to be the home of golf. We make a lunch stop here and have chance to explore before we head back across the River Tay to Dundee.
