This, the most famous of all annual festivals on the Rhine, is known locally as ‘The Night of 1000 lights’, or more commonly, ‘Rhine in Flames’ - an unforgettable event where the local boats travel down the River to a crescendo of music with the magnificent castles that cling to the banks of the mighty river bathed in red light. The evening climaxes with a breathtaking firework display lighting up the black night sky over Koblenz. Our tour is based in the beautiful Rhineland town of Boppard, the perfect base to get the best from our Rhine in Flames itinerary! We include a Guest Card that offers free access to the medieval Castle.
