A Fenns Favourite! Enjoy a day out to Moreton-in-Marsh & Bourton-on-the-Wate in the heart of the picturesque Cotswolds. Moreton-in-Marsh is one of the principal market towns in the northern Cotswolds, has been a traveller's town for at least 1700 years and was used as a coaching station before the coming of the Oxford to Worcester railway in 1853. It is a pretty town woth several pubs, inns, hotels, tea shops and restaurants. The famous author J R R Tolkien is believed to have had connections with Moreton-in-Marsh - a pub in the town was presented with a special print by a branch of the J R R Tolkien Society. Regularly voted one of the prettiest villages in England, Bourton-on-the-Water has a unique appeal and is often refered to as the 'Venice of the Cotswolds', it offers a wealth of attractions and shops, restaurants and tea rooms, or simply for you to enjoy some tranquil time by the River Windrush with its beautiful bridges throughout.
