A sightseeing tour with many things of interest, based in Great Malvern, with the beautiful Malvern Hills overlooking the town. We feature some of the delightful Black and White villages in Herefordshire, as well as Hereford itself, the pretty Cotswolds and Cheltenham
The setting for the ivy clad 4 star Abbey Hotel in Great Malvern is ideal, at the foot of the Malvern Hills, adjoining the fine Benedictine Priory in the heart of the town. This hotel scores highly with our guests who are assured of a warm welcome and a relaxing atmosphere together with the highest levels of comfort. All the comfortable bedrooms are furnished to a high standard, all are en-suite and have tea and coffee making facilities. This hotel does have a lift.
Monday From your front door to the waiting Club Class coach, travelling through the heart of England via pretty Banbury and the scenic Vale of Evesham, where we make a stop. We arrive late afternoon at the Abbey Hotel, Great Malvern and are welcomed with tea, coffee and biscuits, with time to settle in before dinner.
Tuesday Our day begins with a drive to the delightful Cotswolds and lovely Broadway. We have a break here before continuing to Stow-on-the-Wold, home of the well-known Scott’s of Stow shops. Here we have time for lunch and to explore, before we travel on to Regency Cheltenham, with its beautiful architecture and elegant town centre and shops. Late afternoon we return to the hotel
Wednesday After breakfast, we begin the day with a drive through Bromyard to Leominster for a short stop. From here we ride around some of the villages in Herefordshire’s beautiful ‘Black and White’ villages trail. We travel through the quaint villages of Eardisland and Pembridge, taking in beautiful scenery, inns, and timber framed shops. We reach Hereford in time for lunch and the afternoon is free to explore. Perhaps visit the Cathedral, home to the rare Mappa Mundi. Later we return to Malvern and our hotel.
Thursday This morning we head for the City of Worcester where we have time to explore the city, with its imposing Cathedral well worth a visit. There are plenty of opportunities to obtain lunch, before we return to Malvern for free time before lunch and our final evening.
Friday Homeward bound this morning travelling by way of Tewkesbury and Stratford-upon-Avon, where we make a stop for refreshments. Stratford, as well as being the home of William Shakespeare, is worthy of a visit in its own right with colourful gardens and pleasant riverside walks. Late afternoon we return to our home area and awaiting taxis.
