A chance to brighten winter days, it gives us great pleasure to return to the beautiful Cotswolds where we enjoy a unique Snowdrop experience. Set in the beautiful Churn in the heart of Gloucestershire, Colesbourne Park has been the home of the Elwes family since 1789. The park has collected over 250 varieties of snowdrops, as well as offering wonderful gardens and spectacular woodland.
The Mercure Bowden Hall Hotel is located at Upton St Leonards, on the outskirts of Gloucester. surrounded by beautiful gardens, this clasically styled hotel has regency decor and charming interiors. All bedrooms are ensuite and have a television, hairdryer and hospitality tray. Please note that there is no lift at this hotel and all rooms are accessed by stairs.
Friday From your front door to the waiting Club Class coach for the drive to Gloucestershire. We arrive at our hotel mid-afternoon for a welcoming tea/coffee and biscuits which is followed by time to relax before dinner.
Saturday This morning we make our way into the historic Cathedral City of Gloucester. We have chance to explore and obtain lunch before making our way to Colesbourne Park this afternoon. Recognised as ‘England’s Greatest Snowdrop Garden’ by Country Life, we have the afternoon to enjoy the woodland, lakeside paths and gardens. From here we head back to the hotel with time to relax before dinner.
Sunday After breakfast we bid farewell to our hosts and make our way home. Our route sees us climb steep Cooper Hill to the pretty village of Painswick then on to make a stop in Roman Cirencester. This afternoon we complete our journey, arriving late-afternoon we are greeted by our awaiting taxis.
