Say farewell and good riddance to 2020 by joining us on a relaxing break to the stunning south coast of England to enjoy the delightful seaside resort of Brighton and welcome in a much needed New Year. We include a great hotel, Gala Dinner on New Year’s Eve, a visit to the BA Tower and a relaxing drive along the coast to Beachy Head
The Old Ship is the most historic hotel in Brighton and is located in the heart of the city centre, overlooking the glorious seafront. The hotel is a six-minute walk away from the iconic Brighton Palace Pier and is also close to the BA Tower. All of the en-suite bedrooms are equipped with comfortable lounge chairs, a desk, tea/coffee making facilities and a TV. Seaview rooms are available on request and a lift serves all floors.
Wednesday From your front door to the waiting Club Class coach for the drive to Brighton. We arrive at the Old Ship Hotel late afternoon to be enjoy a welcoming cream tea with tea or coffee. We have time to settle in before dinner which is followed by an evening of entertainment.
Thursday – New Year’s Eve Today is yours to explore Brighton at leisure. The city has many attractions including the Lanes, a maze of specialist shops, the famous Brighton Pavilion, a Royal Beach house built in Indian style and full of amazing treasures. Tea and coffee is available throughout the day between 11am and 5pm in the hotels lounge. Lunch is provided at the hotel, offering us pie, mash and mushy peas. We have time to relax after lunch before we begin our celebrations with a Gala Dinner and, of course, the New Year’s count down.
Friday – New Year’s Day Happy New Year! We enjoy a leisurely drive along the coastal road to Seaford then through scenic Birling Gap and the Cuckmere Valley to Beachy Head with time for a ‘Brandy Coffee’ whilst enjoying incredible coastal views. Our return is through pretty Alfriston arriving back at the hotel for an included single course buffet lunch which is followed by an afternoon quiz. This evening’s dinner is followed by more entertainment to bring our final evening to an end.
Saturday After a leisurely breakfast we take a flight to the skies on the world’s first vertical cable car. Gliding slowly to a height of 450’ we enjoy 360 degree views of over 26 miles of Sussex coast and country. Mid-morning we begin our drive north arriving in our home areas late afternoon where we are greeted by our awaiting taxis after an unforgettable New Year holiday.
