Your Itinerary:

Day 1

Thursday Our door to door service takes you the waiting luxury Club Class coach for the journey north via Scotch Corner, Gretna Green and Perthshire. We arrive at our overnight hotel, the welcoming 3 star Fishers, set in the centre of the popular tourist town of Pitlochry, late afternoon, tea/coffees are served whilst the cases are taken to our rooms

Day 2

Friday We continue northwards through increasingly lovely scenery via the Pass of Killiecrankie and the Grampian Mountains to Inverness, stopping of en-route for a ‘wee dram’ at a distillery. We have time for lunch in the ‘Capital of the Highlands’ Inverness. In the afternoon we continue north, crossing the Black Isle and Dornoch Firth then drive along the coast past mighty Dunrobin Castle to arrive at Thurso’s 3 star Muthu Royal Hotel where we spend the next two nights.

Day 3

Saturday Today we take the Pentland ferry from Gills Bay to St Margaret’s Hope, Orkney where we meet a local guide for our tour of Orkney, during which we visit the World Heritage Sites of Skara Brae, Skaill House Viking Centre, Ring of Brodgar and Scapa Flow. We stop for lunch in Kirkwall with the opportunity to view St Magnus Cathedral then a visit to the famous Italian Chapel before returning to St Margaret’s Hope for the late afternoon ferry to Gills Bay.

Day 4

Sunday A full day of spectacular scenery as we visit the late Queen Mother’s favourite haunt, the remote Castle of Mey with its ‘Secret Garden’, located close to Britain’s northernmost main land point. We then enjoy a stunning drive along the North Coast 500, Scotland's answer to route 66 and one of the most beautiful coastal touring routes in the world, passing beautiful deserted beaches and inlets, to Durness. Here we turn south and make our way through the spectacular North West Highlands via Laxford Bridge, Scourie, Loch Assynt to Ullapool for our overnight stay at the Royal Hotel.

Day 5

Monday We head south today, along the shoreline of Loch Broom, passing Corrieshalloch Gorge, Muir of Ord and Beauly to Drumnadrochit where we meet awesome Loch Ness. Driving alongside the waters of the great loch we reach Fort William the popular tourist centre nestling beneath the bulk of Ben Nevis where we spend time for lunch. We continue through tragic Glen Coe and over lonely Rannoch Moor to arrive at our overnight 4 star hotel in Crieff where we can relax and enjoy the hotels facilities before dinner.

Day 6

Tuesday Homeward bound, we join the motorway to make our first stop at Gretna Green, then over the border and south through England to historic Richmond where we make a stop for lunch. This afternoon we return to our home area and waiting taxis arriving early evening at the end of a memorable Scottish Highland & Island adventure.
