The 3 star Royal Victoria Hotel offers breath-taking views on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park and is cradled between the lakes and the Welsh mountains. All of the bedrooms have an en-suite bath and shower, a TV, hairdryer, telephone and complimentary tea/coffee making facilities. A lift serves all floors.

Entertainment and a free bar is available each evening during 19:00 – 23:00 on selected drinks

Your Itinerary:

Day 1

Monday From your front door to the waiting coach, as we make our way through the heart of England to Shrewsbury for a lunch stop. Refreshed, we continue to the beautiful Vale of Llangollen and follow the River Dee to enter Snowdonia at Capul Curig, arriving at our hotel late afternoon. We enjoy a welcoming tea or coffee whilst our bags are taken to our rooms. Entertainment follows this evening’s dinner.

Day 2

Tuesday Today we enjoy a full day tour of the spectacular Snowdonia National Park, via Swallow Falls at Betws-y-Coed and Blaenau Ffestiniog with its slate railway. We head to the coast and the small seaside resort of Porthmadog with time to explore before more mountain scenery as we return to the hotel well in time for dinner and more evening entertainment

Day 3

Wednesday We head south this morning to Traeth Bach and the fascinating and unique Italianate village of Portmeirion, created in the early 20th century by the noted architect William Ellis. The stunning houses and pavilions overlook the sea. Our return to the hotel is late afternoon

Day 4

Thursday This morning we drive the short distance to visit the old town of Caernarfon with its magnificent castle, scene of the Investiture of the Prince of Wales. We enjoy a good stay with admission to the Castle before driving to the pretty Isle of Anglesey for a short stop at Llanfair PG. Later we make our way to Beaumaris Castle - the great unfinished masterpiece before returning to the hotel with time before our farewell dinner and more evening entertainment.

Day 5

Friday After a leisurely breakfast we begin our homeward journey. Our route is by way of Colwyn Bay and the historical city of Chester before joining the motorway back to our home area, arriving late afternoon
