Your Itinerary:

Day 1

Friday From your front door to the waiting Club Class coach for our drive south. We head directly to Winchester and its super Christmas Market. Inspired by the traditional German markets, Winchester market attracts more than 350,000 visitors each year. The pretty wooden chalets are situated in the Cathedral’s historic Inner Close surrounding an open-air real ice rink, and are adorned with interesting, high quality and unique products, many of which cannot be bought on the High Street. Later this afternoon we continue our journey to Southampton and our hotel with time to relax before dinner.

Day 2

Saturday Our next Christmas Market is the Festival in Southampton city centre and consists of alpine themed chalets with traditional German fayre and authentic gifts. Bavarian style musical entertainment is featured and the highlight is the unique ‘Flying Santa’ show, which sees Santa and his reindeers fly above the market twice during the day

Day 3

Sunday The highlight of our weekend! Today we visit Portsmouth’s Victorian Festival. This wonderful event is set in the atmospheric dockyard surroundings. Here we are magically transported into a Dickensian-style bygone era of beautiful snowy streets and experience a taste of days gone by with a magic lantern show, Victorian dancing, Father Christmas (dressed in green!) and a host of colourful characters including chimney sweeps, suffragettes, wenches, Victorian gentry and Fagin with his gang of pickpockets. A host of unique gifts are available as well as delicious festive food.

Day 4

Monday Homeward bound via the cathedral city of Salisbury and past Stonehenge to arrive in our home area mid afternoon.
