Your Itinerary:

Day 1

Sunday From your front door to the waiting Club Class coach then north by motorway to make a lunch stop in north Yorkshire. Continuing on we enter Scotland at Gretna Green then on through the Lowther Hills and around Glasgow to reach the Westerwood Hotel late afternoon with time to settle in before dinner.

Day 2

Monday A full Scottish breakfast before our first excursion; we drive to Scotland’s capital city Edinburgh. En-route we pass the newest landmark in the country, the iconic ‘Kelpies’ at Falkirk. We travel to the Palace of Holyrood House. It's a magical time of year to explore the historic and state apartments. The festive decorations at the Palace will include a 15-foot high Christmas tree in the Great Gallery, adorned with shimmering decorations and sparkling lights, while the Great Stair leading to the State Apartments will be draped with twinkling velvet garlands, glistening berries and seasonal foliage. Soak up the festive atmosphere and maybe enjoy light refreshments in the Café. Later we spend time in the city before our return to the hotel in time for dinner.

Day 3

Tuesday A day of scenic delights and history as we take a relaxing drive to the glorious Trossachs, a national treasure of Lochs and woodland immortalised by the novels of Sir Walter Scott and visiting a noted Woollen Mill before spending time in Historic Stirling, ancient capital of Scotland and gateway to the Highlands

Day 4

Wednesday Our final Scottish breakfast before bidding farewell to our hosts at the Westerwood. We travel south to Gretna then cross into England and by motorway to return to our home area late afternoon after a memorable Scottish break.
