We invite you to join us for Christmas in Bournemouth, often referred to as the Garden City by the sea. Our destination assures us of a wonderful festive atmosphere, created both by the town centres decorations and our super hotel, all in all, the perfect ingredients for a memorable Christmas break.
The 4 star Cumberland was voted by our clients last Christmas as one of the best we have ever visited and justly deserves its award as the top 4 star hotel in Bournemouth. Situated on the prestigious East Cliff of Bournemouth, offering spectacular views and a bright, modern interior, the hotel is just a few minutes’ walk from the seven miles of golden beaches in Bournemouth and a ten minute walk from the town centre. Each of the en-suite rooms have tea and coffee making facilities and there is a lift that serves all floors. Public rooms include an elegant restaurant and stylish lounge bar. Whilst the hotel does not have an indoor pool, guests are welcome to use the indoor leisure facilities of the sister hotel which is conveniently situated next door.
Thursday From your front door to the waiting Club Class coach, we travel to Bournemouth. Arriving mid afternoon at our hotel, we enjoy a welcoming glass of sherry and a mince pie. We have time to settle in before dinner, which is followed by the first of our nightly entertainment.
Friday – Christmas Eve A leisurely breakfast is served before we join the coach for a pleasant morning drive into the New Forest, an enchanting expanse of ancient trees, heathland and woodland wildlife, we serve warming brandy coffees on board the coach before returning to our hotel in time for an included lunch. This evening we join the management team for a drinks reception before dinner which is followed by entertainment from a live band. For those returning from midnight mass, boozy hot chocolate will be served.
Saturday – Christmas Day Merry Christmas! After a leisurely Bucks Fizz breakfast, spend the morning enjoying the stunning views or take a walk along the seafront to work up an appetite. Traditional Christmas lunch is followed by the Queen’s Speech with tea/coffee and Christmas cake. A light buffet will be served this evening followed by more entertainment.
Sunday – Boxing Day Our first visit of the day is Romsey, the setting of TV’s ‘Inspector Wexford’ programmes. We return to the hotel for a light buffet lunch before we attend an afternoon performance of the Pantomime Cinderella at the Bournemouth Pavilion theatre. Back at the hotel, a Boxing Day four course dinner will be served followed by dancing and live music to bring our final night to a close.
Monday We enjoy out final morning’s breakfast before we make our way home, arriving in our home areas mid afternoon after a memorable break.
