St Patrick’s Day is celebrated all over the world but what better way is there than to join the festivities in the Emerald Isle itself, even more so in the delightful little town of Westport, County Mayo, which nestles beneath Cro Patrick, Ireland’s holy mountain, and at the mouth of Clew Bay ‘The Bay of 1000 Islands’.
Nestled in a 300-year-old wood, just outside the town of Westport with its shops, cafés and restaurants, the 4-star Westport Woods Hotel & Spa is a welcoming hotel with a large reception and lobby area. The bedrooms feature earthy colours to create a peaceful, relaxing environment and are equipped with a TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. The modern restaurant has lovely views of the surrounding woodland and there's a stylish bar with plenty of comfortable seating. Leisure facilities include a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and gym.
