Overview

The roadsides along the Vale of Evesham explode into life with the pale pink tones of the cherry and apple blossom. We will be joined by a local Blossom trail guide to get the most of the day. We include a first class hotel and visits to the Forest of Dean, the Wye Valley, Georgian Cheltenham and the Cotswolds

The Mercure Bowden Hall Hotel is located at Upton St Leonards, on the outskirts of Gloucester and surrounded by beautiful gardens. This classically styled hotel has Regency décor and charming public rooms. All the en suite bedrooms are tastefully decorated and have a television and all of the facilities one would expect from a hotel of this standard. Public rooms include a bar, restaurant and relaxing lounge. The hotel has a lift.



Your Itinerary:



Day 1

Thursday From your front door to the waiting Club Class coach for the drive to Gloucestershire. We arrive at our hotel mid-afternoon for a welcoming tea/coffee and biscuits which is followed by time to relax before dinner.


Day 2

Friday Today we take in the glorious blossoms of the Vale of Evesham our local guide will ensure we get the most from our day which will of course include stops for refreshments


Day 3

Saturday This morning we spend time in the historic Cathedral City of Gloucester with much to see including the fascinating waterways museum at the restored Quays. Joining the coach sees us climb steep Cooper Hill to the pretty village of Painswick then on through the Slad valley to spend time in elegant Cheltenham, famous for its fine architecture and renowned Lady’s College. From here we head back to the hotel with time to relax before dinner


Day 4

Sunday A relaxing day tour to the delightful Wye Valley stopping in Ross on Wye and historic Monmouth. Our return is through the Forest of Dean one of the most ancient royal forest in Britain and forming the border between Wales and England We include a stop at the viewpoint for Symonds Yat, the noted beauty spot on a narrow loop of the River Wye.


Day 5

Monday After breakfast we bid farewell to our hosts and make our way home. Our route takes us to Roman Cirencester then picture postcard Bibury and Burford before returning to our home area late afternoon to be greeted by our waiting taxis
