Your Itinerary:

Day 1

Outward journey from your door to the English Riviera, to arrive at our hotel late afternoon.

Day 2

Our day begins with a drive to the great maritime city of Plymouth. The city is an extraordinary blend of vibrant modern city and historic seafaring port in a picturesque harbour setting. We have included a 1 hour, harbour cruise with commentary taking us across the Plymouth Sound, flanked by the beautiful Devon and Cornish coasts. We pass Plymouth Hoe, the famous Drakes Island, heading for the river Tamar where the mighty warships and nuclear submarines await! This is followed by time at leisure; the Elizabethan Barbican where Drake, Raleigh and the Pilgrim Fathers weighed anchor is a great attraction.

Day 3

Our day begins with a drive to Moretonhampstead and the House of Marbles for a coffee stop. This is a working glass and games factory making an unusual range of traditional games, puzzles, toys, marbles and glassware for many years. Meander round the old kilns and old pottery buildings, browse in the gift shop. From here we make our way to the coast, Teignmouth and delightful Dawlish where we spend time to explore and obtain lunch before our afternoon return to Torquay.

Day 4

A different mode of transport today! First we take the coach to nearby Paignton to board the Paignton and Dartmouth Railway for a steam train ride along the spectacular Torbay Coast to Kingswear. Here we join the ferry to Dartmouth before taking a circular hour-long cruise along the river and estuary. We have some free time in Dartmouth before the return train from Kingswear to Paignton.

Day 5

We return to our home area after a relaxing break on the English Riviera.

Day 14

Insurance Premiums are renewed from 1st January 2022. If you are making a booking after this date the rate will be revised from that shown in our brochure.
