Your Itinerary:

Day 1

Our door to door service takes you to the waiting coach for the leisurely drive through the Heart of England with time for lunch and sightseeing in the historic city of Gloucester. Visit the docks, Britainís most inland port; explore the waterside museums or the wide selection of retail outlets. This afternoon we head south through the Severn Valley to reach our luxury hotel for a welcoming cup of tea or coffee, which is served whilst our luggage is taken to our rooms.

Day 2

This morning we enjoy a guided tour of the Royal Mint Experience where we see how metal becomes coins and observe the striking hall. This afternoon we make our way to Cardiff where we have free time before returning to the hotel

Day 3

Today we visit iconic Tintern Abbey, nestled on the pretty banks of the River Wye. We have time to explore the remarkable remains of this once jewel in the monastic crown, founded in 1131 by Cistercian monks. Once a masterpiece of British Gothic architecture its great west front is still breathtaking today and much photographed. We then follow the River Wye to the historic border town of Monmouth where we have time for lunch and explore the many attractions before returning to the hotel for dinner.

Day 4

After breakfast we embark on a 6 mile train journey on the Brecon Mountain Railway. We journey along before climbing high on the Brecon Beacons. We have time to visit the locomotive workshop before heading to the famous Penderyn Distillery where we enjoy a guided tour and tasting.

Day 5

We bid farewell to our hosts as we make our way home. We start with a tour of the Forest of Dean and the Malvern Hills affording great views of the Severn Valley, making time for lunch in the historic city and county capital Warwick. Continuing on we arrive in our home areas late afternoon.

Day 14

Insurance Premiums are renewed from 1st January 2022. If you are making a booking after this date the rate will be revised from that shown in our brochure.
