Salutation Hotel - 3 Star

Located in the heart of Perth, this hotel is reputed to be one of the oldest hotels in Scotland and has been welcoming guests since 1699. Offering traditional hospitality, the hotel also has a restaurant and two bars. All 84 of the en-suite bedrooms have a television, hairdryer, telephone and tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel has a lift.

Dunollie Hotel - 3 Star

The 3 star Dunollie Hotel is set by the serene waterside of Broadford Bay at the foot of the mountains that lead to the famous Cuillin Hills. All of the spacious bedrooms are en-suite and have tea and coffee making facilities. Public rooms include a comfortable bar and relaxing lounge. There is no lift but ground floor rooms are available.



Your Itinerary:



Day 1

From your front door to the waiting Club Class coach for the drive north to Scotland. Crossing the border we arrive in Perthshire late afternoon where we have time to settle in at our hotel before dinner.


Day 2

Our day begins with a ride over the mountains to Glen Clunie and Braemar, setting for the Highland Games. We have a short break here before heading along Deeside with views of Balmoral Castle to arrive in Crathie. The towns little church is where the Royal Family worship when visiting Balmoral. After time to wander around we make our way to Ballater with time for lunch and exploration. We retrace our steps to beautiful Spittal of Glenshee for our final stop before returning at the hotel late afternoon.


Day 3

We enjoy a spectacular sightseeing today. West from Perth along the shore of Loch Earn to Rob Roy country. Now through stunning Highland scenery, The road climbs over the bleak expanse of Rannoch Moor and drops down between the steep sides of magical Glencoe. Amazing mountains such as the Three Sisters loom on either side, with river scenery at the bottom of the glen, we spend time for lunch in popular Fort William. This afternoon we pass Ben Nevis towards the breathtakingly beautiful Eilean Donan Castle. The final leg of our journey is across the famous Skye Bridge to the Isle of Skye where we will be staying for the next two nights.


Day 4

Today we make our way to the North West corner of Skye and visit the famous Dunvegan Castle & Gardens. Within its stately halls are priceless heirlooms, some of which originate from medieval times. We can then stroll through the formal round garden, stand and admire the many rhododendrons, numerous in their variety and marvel at this jewel in Skye’s crown before boarding our coach for a scenic drive up the Trotternish Peninsula, home to the Old Man of Storr, before returning to our hotel via the picturesque harbour town of Portree.


Day 5

This morning we bid farewell to the Isle of Skye and make our way past the Five Sisters and Loch Cluanie to spend time in Fort Augustus at the southern end of Loch Ness we spend time for lunch. This afternoon we head for the Grampian Mountains and a Highland distillery to discover the secrets of the golden spirit and have a ‘wee dram’. We visit the famed ‘Queen’s View’ on pretty Loch Tummel before arriving in the popular resort of Pitlochry for a welcome tea/coffee at our overnight hotel.


Day 6

We bid farewell to our hosts before beginning our return journey. We travel to Glasgow and through Strathclyde stopping at Gretna Green, before crossing the border. Now south to return to our home area and waiting taxis early evening.
