After the great success of previous tours, it gives us pleasure to return to the resort of Paignton; occupying a central position in Torbay, it is famous for its white sandy beaches, rocky coves and popular pier. By day there is plenty for all and by night Paignton's seafront comes alive with illuminations and is perfect for an evening stroll. Our super 5 day holiday has lovely scenery and history in abundance, along with a train ride on the South Devon Railway, a cruise on the River Dart and visit to Powderham Castle.
The 3 star Redcliffe Hotel is beautifully situated on a promontory dividing two sandy beaches, boasting 400 metre water frontage. Views of the sea and coastline, from elegant Torquay on one side to the quaint fishing port of Brixham on the other, can be enjoyed from all public rooms. Each of the bedrooms is en suite and served by a lift. Facilities include a leisure centre with indoor swimming pool, a large, heated outdoor pool and a putting green.
Our door to door service takes you to the waiting club class coach for the drive west. We travel by way of Swindon and the Vale of White Horse and Bristol, famed for its rich nautical heritage. Our afternoon drive to the West Country sees us arrive at the Redcliffe Hotel Paignton late afternoon

This morning we head for rugged Dartmoor passing through the little town of Moretonhampstead spending time in Widdecombe of ‘Uncle Tom Cobley’ fame before climbing the lonely road over the centre of the moor to the village of Princeton, home to the foreboding Dartmoor Prison, then descend to historic Plymouth. The historic seafaring port enjoys a picturesque harbour setting. The Elizabethan Barbican where Drake, Raleigh and the Pilgrim Fathers weighed anchor is a great attraction.
