Your Itinerary:
From your front door to the waiting Club Class coach for the drive south to Newquay. Arriving late-afternoon, we are greeted by our hosts. We enjoy a glass of mulled wine on arrival before time to settle in and dinner which will be followed by entertainment.
After breakfast we travel to St Austell with its variety of shops in the town centre and fine Holy Trinity Parish Church. Next we step back in time as we visit Charlestown used as the location of many period dramas including ‘Poldark’. Our last visit of the day is to the village of Mevagissey whose narrow streets and steep valley sides lead everyone to the harbour at the centre of the village. We return to the hotel for our traditional Christmas dinner with all the trimmings and a visit from Santa bringing treats for all. Afterwards we enjoy bingo and live entertainment.
Today we travel to Truro to visit the farmers market, offering a wide range of local goodies which could be a perfect gift to take home. This afternoon is spent at leisure in Newquay with chance to relax before this evening’s meal. After dinner there will be live entertainment.
Our excursion today takes us through some stunning coastal scenery to the art centre of Cornwall, St Ives. The town itself arcs around the harbour and boasts winding cobbled streets offering a wide range of independent shops, galleries, pubs and restaurant.
After breakfast we bid farewell to our hosts as we make our way home. Arriving later this afternoon we are greeted by our awaiting taxis.
