Overview

For 2023 Christmas we offer ‘A reet good do’ as we visit West Yorkshire. Our base, the 4 star Cedar Court Hotel, is situated high in the Pennines perfectly located for our visits to Harrogate and Leeds and offers a super festive entertainment programme. We also include a visit to a traditional Panto.

Your Accommodation:

The 4 star Cedar Court offers all the modern facilities and comforts that you would expect from a quality hotel. Each of the hotel’s en-suite bedrooms are beautifully appointed and include tea/coffee making facilities. Public rooms include a grill bar and lounge, a restaurant and a Sports Bar. Lifts serve all floors.

Your Itinerary:

Our door to door service takes you to the waiting Club Class coach for the leisurely drive north to reach our holiday hotel mid afternoon. Tea/coffee, sherry and mince pies will be served then time to settle in well before dinner. Evening entertainment brings the day to a close.

Christmas Eve A scenic drive to the spa town of Harrogate with free time to explore the town, maybe visit the famous ‘Betty’s Tearooms’ founded in 1919 by a Swiss confectioner. We return to the hotel for an impressive afternoon tea. Relax before a festive quiz. Tonight we enjoy a Christmas Banquet dinner followed by carols then mulled wine, tea or coffee and mince pies.

Christmas Day Time to exchange presents before our traditional Christmas Lunch. This afternoon listen to the King’s Speech whilst enjoying Christmas cake with tea/coffee. In the evening enjoy a Christmas hot fork buffet with desserts followed by fun bingo.

Boxing Day A morning visit to the city of Leeds perhaps browse for a bargain in the Boxing Day sales at the Trinity Shopping Centre. This afternoon we include a visit to the Panto Cinderella at the theatre in Huddersfield. Tonight’s dinner is followed by entertainment.

A leisurely breakfast before we say farewell to Huddersfield to begin our homeward journey. Heading south we soon reach ‘Last of the Summer Wine Country’ and the glorious Peak District to return to our home area and our waiting taxis. We arrive mid afternoon at the end of a memorable Christmas.
