From your front door to the waiting Club Class coach for the drive to the English Riviera, to arrive at our hotel in time for afternoon tea. The evening’s events start with a champagne cocktails reception followed by a serenaded candlelit dinner in the restaurant. Later there will be musical entertainment.

Day 2

New Year’s Eve After a leisurely full English breakfast we enjoy a relaxing drive to Exeter. This delightful place has a rich history and has lots to see including the Cathedral, Maritime Museum and fabulous shopping Centre. Our return to Torquay is along the scenic coastal road via Dawlish & Teignmouth. Tonight’s celebrations start with a glorious 7 course Banquet & Ball. Later dance the night away in the ‘Riviera Suite’ to favourite songs with the resident entertainer along with the Torchlight procession and ‘Ode to the Haggis’. At midnight everything stops for the chimes of Big Ben, Balloons, Streamers and Auld Lang Syne.

Day 3

New Year’s Day A later start to the day, breakfast is served before a visit to rugged Dartmoor of ‘Uncle Tom Cobley’ fame we take a scenic drive through the National Park to the great Maritime centre of Plymouth. Sandwiched between the estuaries of the Plym and the Tamar, the city has been a naval base since the 16th century and in the 17th century the Pilgrim Fathers sailed from its Sutton Harbour to the New World of America in The Mayflower. We make a short stay then return to the hotel for leisure time. Our day ends with dinner and dancing.

Day 4

Our departure from Torquay sees us retrace the route of our outward journey to reach our home area and waiting taxis late afternoon with a lot of memories and perhaps New Year Resolutions?
