Overview
We are very happy to return to the popular Winnock Hotel in Drymen, situated in a beautiful part of Scotland close to Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. Our inclusive break comes complete with entertainment each evening, scenic visits, and a cruise on Loch Lomond.
Your Accommodation:

Formerly a coaching inn, The Winnock hotel has been lovingly restored and tastefully extended to its present day form. The 3 star hotel is located in the centre of the attractive village of Drymen and proved popular with our clients for many years, not least because of its warm welcome and attention to detail. All bedrooms are en-suite and spread across just two floors with a TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Although the hotel does not have a lift, ground floor rooms are available on request.
Your Itinerary:
Our door to door service takes you to the waiting Club Class coach journey north from our home area via Scotch Corner, Gretna Green and Glasgow to reach our hotel late afternoon. Dinner, which includes a glass of wine and is followed by entertainment. There will be an open bar each evening between 19.30 and 22.30hrs.
After breakfast we collect our packed lunches and make a visit to historic Stirling with its impressive castle and charming old town with time for exploration and maybe a spot of shopping. En route we visit the enormous Kelpies sculpture dedicated to the Clydesdale Horses in Falkirk. Our return to the hotel allows time to relax before another dinner and evening entertainment.
This morning we pick up our packed lunches before making a visit to Glengoyne Whiskey Distillery for an interesting tour and tasting, next we enjoy wonderful Highland scenery on our drive along the Forth Valley then past Scotland’s only lake at Menteith to Rob Roy country and Callander where we spend some time. Then on into the heart of the glorious Trossachs to Loch Katrine. Our return is by way of the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park and Aberfoyle. This evening dinner includes a glass of wine and is followed by a ‘Full Scottish Show’ featuring live entertainment.
We make a visit to lovely Loch Lomond this morning to enjoy a gentle cruise on the ‘Queen of the Lochs’. Then spend time in the pretty lochside village of Luss which has featured in many Scottish TV programmes. Back at the hotel a soup and sandwich lunch awaits then a relaxing afternoon. This evening we enjoy dinner, an open bar and more entertainment.
We bid farewell to our hosts before beginning our return journey. We travel to Glasgow and through Strathclyde stopping at Gretna Green, before crossing the border. Now south to return to our home area and waiting taxis early evening.
