Overview

Now a firm favourite with so many of our clients we have to repeat this tour to ‘Poldark Country’, the county of Cornwall, setting for the TV programme. Our visit to Newquay offers beautiful scenery and some of the locations used in the filming plus an ‘All Inclusive’ package. We include entrances to the fabulous Eden Project and a Fal River cruise.

Your Accommodation:

Situated in a quiet location, this hotel offers superb coastal views over Fistral beach. Each of the en-suite bedrooms is equipped with a television, hairdryer and hospitality tray, while the spacious lounge, bar and restaurant all offer wonderful views. Comprehensive leisure facilities include an indoor swimming pool. Our stay includes nightly entertainment and a free bar each evening on selected drinks. The hotel is served by a lift.

Your Itinerary:

From your front door to the waiting coach to join the motorway, travelling to Cornwall for a late afternoon arrival in Newquay. We have time to settle in before this evening’s dinner with entertainment to follow. Don’t forget, a free bar on selected bands is available from 6 – 9pm each evening.

A morning visit to the Cornish capital, Truro, with its distinctive and attractive cathedral. Later we board a boat for a gentle cruise down the Fal Estuary to Carrick Roads and Falmouth, where the deep water harbour is guarded by the castles of Pendennis and St Mawes. We have time here to wander around before making our way back to the hotel for dinner.

Today we collect our packed lunch then set off for the incredible Eden Project, a global garden spread over 25 acres, all under the cover of two enormous domes and are the largest of their type in the world. We make a visit to Charlestown a picturesque harbour complete with tall ships where many of the scenes from the drama series were filmed. We return to our hotel with time to relax before dinner which will be followed by entertainment.

A morning drive to the popular coastal resorts of Perranporth and St Agnes. We return to the hotel for a one course hot buffet lunch, an afternoon at leisure, with a lovely cream tea. Our final evening’s dinner is followed by more entertainment.

We depart Newquay after a leisurely breakfast for the journey home. Using the motorways we arrive in our home areas late afternoon.
