From your front door to the waiting Club Class coach for our journey to Warwickshire. We arrive late afternoon to be greeted by our hosts with time before dinner.
Our day begins with a drive into the beautiful Cotswolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty as we make a stop in the market town of Stow-on-the-Wold, perhaps the best known of the small towns in the Cotswolds. We have free time here before continuing on to Oxford, the ‘city of dreaming spires’, home to the famous university and Oxford Castle. After a good stay we make our way back to the hotel for dinner.
Today we head to Stratford-upon-Avon, a market town with more than 800 years of history, well known as the birthplace of Shakespeare. This afternoon we head to the Shakespeare Distillery for a tour and tasting.
This morning we make our way to Coventry, the UK City of Culture 2021! Perhaps visit the well known Transport Museum or enjoy a spot of shopping in the high street. We re-join the coach after lunch and head to Packwood Tudor House, park and garden. The house contains a fine collection of 16th century textiles and furniture and the gardens have renowned herbaceous borders and a famous collection of yews.
After breakfast we bid farewell to our hosts and make our way home. Arriving late afternoon we are greeted by our awaiting taxis after a delightful holiday.
