Overview

We are pleased to offer this short break to the beautiful Peak District, a delight to visit at any time of year. Matlock Bath is situated in the steep sided Derwent Gorge and at this time of year has illuminations along the river bank. The display is complemented by the Venetian Nights, when a parade of illuminated boats float up and down the river, maintaining a tradition dating back to Victorian times. The evening ends with a spectacular firework display in Derwent Park. A visit to magnificent Chatsworth House, a true Peak District ‘Jewel in the Crown’, rounds off a very enjoyable weekend.
