Your Itinerary:

Day 1

Sunday From your front door to the waiting Club Class coach then north through the York Dales to enter Scotland at Gretna, then past Stirling and over lonely Rannoch Moor with fine mountain scenery to reach our hotel where a welcoming glass of mulled wine is served upon arrival. This evening dinner is followed by live musical entertainment.

Day 2

Monday A relaxing morning before a scenic drive around Loch Leven. We visit the village of Glencoe made famous by the massacre of the clan Macdonald. Later back at the hotel a traditional Christmas movie or a selection of board games follow dinner.

Day 3

Tuesday Magnificent mountain scenery we drive into lonely Glencoe, the road is lined with breathtaking peaks and spectacular waterfalls, then on to Loch Awe where we make a guided visit to the Hollow Mountain, a huge hydroelectric power station inside Ben Cruachan. Our return is over the Pass of Brander and loch side to our hotel. Tonight we enjoy a glass of wine or a pint of beer with dinner then it is party time accompanied by traditional Scottish music.

Day 4

Wednesday A full day excursion north beside the waters of Loch Linnhe to Fort William lying in the shadow of Britain’s highest mountain Ben Nevis. We stop at Spean Bridge Woollens and for photos and impressive views at the Commando Memorial. Now along the Great Glen to the dark waters of Loch Ness, home of illusive resident Nessie. Back at the hotel time to relax before our final evening meal which is followed by a quiz.

Day 5

Thursday Homeward bound via Inverary, home of the Dukes of Argyll, then over ‘Rest and be Thankful’ to the ‘Queen of Lochs’, Loch Lomond. Past Glasgow we reach the borders and join the motorway back to our home area and waiting taxis.
