Our 5 day break is set amid the splendour of the Snowdonia National Park one of Britainí great national treasures. We include scenic tours taking in much of the National Park offering dramatic mountains, tranquil lakes and interesting towns. Our base is historic Caernarfon overlooking the Menai Straits and dominated by its magnificent castle.

Celtic Royal Hotel - 3 Star

This stylish hotel is located in the famous town of Caernarfon, near Bangor in Gwynedd, a popular hotel with Fenn Holidaysí clients. The Celtic Royal has a modern bar and leisure club with gym and a swimming pool. All bedrooms are tastefully designed and include hairdryer and tea/ coffee making facilities. A full entertainment programme is included during our stay. This hotel has a lift.

Your Itinerary:

Day 1

Monday From your front door to the waiting coach for the drive to Snowdonia. Our route takes us to Shrewsbury for a lunch stop then on to the beautiful Vale of Llangollen and over the scenic Horseshoe Pass to Ruthin, we view the Marble Church on the coast road to Colwyn before arriving at our hotel late afternoon. This evening there will be a punch reception before dinner which will be followed by entertainment.

Day 2

Tuesday Our full day tour starts with a visit to the Welsh Slate Museum set beside the tranquil waters of Llyn Padarn at Llanberis for an interesting insight into the centuries old industry, next we climb the scenic pass at the foot of mighty Snowdon to reach popular Betws-y-Coed with its famous waterfall. A relaxing drive along the lovely Vale of Conwy takes us to Conwy itself with its mighty castle, town walls and quaint harbour itís the perfect place to spend some time. We return to the hotel for time at leisure before preparing for this evening dinner.

Day 3

Wednesday Another day of scenic wonder as we head south to the coastal town of Porthmadog then into the centre of the Snowdonia National Park visiting beautiful Bala Lake, the largest natural lake in Wales, and into Dolgellau, a granite and boulder stone town set in a fine position beside the River Whion and overlooked by craggy Cadair Idris. This evening back at the hotel dinner is followed by musical entertainment.

Day 4

Thursday This morning is spent at leisure in our resort of Caernarfon. The famous castle is a sight not to be missed. This afternoon we take a scenic drive around the Isle of Anglesey, stopping at Beaumaris for a gentle stroll. We return to our hotel in time for our final nightís dinner.

Day 5

Friday Today we say goodbye to our hosts after breakfast and begin our return journey, via Cheshire and the Midlands, before arriving in our home area late afternoon.
