The 3 star rated Celtic Royal Hotel is just 10 minutes away from the harbour and only 5 minutes from Caernarfon Castle. Hotel facilities include an indoor pool, fitness centre and sauna. The hotel also has stylish bar that offers a range of delicious food and a wellstocked bar. All rooms feature tea/coffee facilities, a TV and a private bathroom with a hairdryer. This hotel has a lift.



Your Itinerary:



Day 1

Friday From your front door to the waiting coach for the drive to Snowdonia. Our route takes us to Shrewsbury for a lunch stop then on to the beautiful Vale of Llangollen and over the scenic Horseshoe Pass to Ruthin, we view the Marble Church on the coast road to Colwyn before arriving at our hotel late afternoon. Tea & coffee is served upon arrival then after dinner we partake in a Country & Western quiz.


Day 2

Saturday An easy start to the day with time to explore Caernarfon. The town has a charming centre and rich history most of which features the massive castle that dominates all. Events here include the investiture of the present Prince of Wales. Later we cross the Menai Straits, viewing Thomas Telfordís magnificent bridge, to visit the most famous town in Wales, Llanfair PG. Our last visit is to pretty Beaumaris famed for the romantic ruins of its castle. Dinner tonight is enjoyed with a glass of wine and followed by Country & Western themed live entertainment.


Day 3

Sunday Our full day tour starts with a visit to the Welsh Slate Museum set beside the tranquil waters of Llyn Padarn at Llanberis for an interesting insight into the centuries old industry, next we climb the scenic pass at the foot of mighty Snowdon to reach popular Bewts-y- Coed with its famous waterfall. A relaxing drive along the lovely Vale of Conwy takes us to Conwy itself with its mighty castle, town walls and quaint harbour itís the perfect place to spend some time. A mid afternoon return to the hotel allows time to relax before dinner.


Day 4

Monday After breakfast we bid a reluctant farewell to our hosts at the Celtic Royal Hotel and to Wales as we re-cross the border into England. We return to our home areas to be greeted by our awaiting taxis.
