Formerly a Victorian Glove Factory, situated by the Worcester to Birmingham canal, the hotel offers outstanding service and comfort. Friday From your front door to the waiting Club Class coach as we make our way to Worcester. We travel by way of the glorious Cotswolds spending time in Bourton on the Water. Regularly voted one of the prettiest villages in England, there is a unique appeal with a wealth of attractions and shops, restaurants and tea rooms or enjoy some tranquil time by the River Windrush with its beautiful bridges throughout. This afternoon we continue our drive through classical English Countryside including the Vale of Evesham to reach our hotel arriving with plenty of time to settle in before dinner this evening.
Saturday After breakfast we drive to nearby Malvern, a delightful town in the shadow of the picturesque Malvern Hills. After time to explore we spend the afternoon in the historic city of Worcester. With its interesting little streets and alleyways to discover, as well as the magnificent Cathedral or perhaps have a stroll by the river.
Sunday Today we make the short journey to Warwick. We have included entrance to the spectacular Castle, which sits on a scenic bend on the River Avon and was built by William the Conqueror in 1065. Once we are inside, experience one thousand years of jaw-dropping history, including great battles, ancient myths, spellbinding tales, pampered princesses, heroic knights and much more. From Warwick we make our way to Stratford-upon-Avon, famously known as the birthplace of Shakespeare. We make a short stop for photographs at Anne Hathaway’s, Shakespeare’s wifes, idyllic cottage before enjoying taking in the sights and hearing the history on this afternoons river cruise. We return to the hotel for dinner this evening.
Monday A leisurely breakfast before our departure for home. We travel by way Leominster and charming Bewdley before spending time for lunch in the famed canal town of Stourport-on-Severn. We arrive in our home area to meet our waiting taxis late afternoon after an enjoyable Easter break.
