Another new tour for 2018 which takes you through all of the delightful places middle England has to offer. We include entrance to the fascinating British Motor Museum with its heritage of an industry that dominated the lives of midland folk for decades. Combined with Stratford-upon-Avon this will be a memorable few days.
The 4 star Sketchley Grange Hotel and Spa is situated on the borders of Leicestershire and Warwickshire. This elegant country house hotel is nestled on away in the Heart of England and combines the perfect blend of past and present. Facilities include a Spa, indoor swimming pool and sauna. All bedrooms are en-suite and have television, telephone and tea/coffee making facilities. Public rooms include a stylish Garden Bar and restaurant offering fine food and views of the beautiful gardens. This hotel does have a lift.
Friday Depart your front door to join the coach for our drive through middle England we make for Northampton then on to Gaydon, home of the British Motor Museum. With a collection of over 250 exhibits of British cars the Museum is considered one of the best in the world and with ample refreshment facilities makes it the perfect place to spend time. Mid afternoon we drive to our luxury hotel, the 4 star Sketchley Grange Hotel and Spa. Upon our arrival, we are greeted by our hosts with tea/coffee and biscuits before our dinner this evening.
Saturday After breakfast we join the coach and head to the spa town of Leamington, in Warwickshire. Leamington, formerly known as Leamington Priors, is named after the River Leam which flows through the town. After time well spent we re-join the coach before heading to our second destination of the day, Kenilworth. Kenilworth is small and beautiful town which lies in the heart of leafy Warwickshire. It is a fantastic place to visit with plenty to see and do and a great place to explore. After we have had time to explore we head to the hotel with time to relax before this evening’s dinner.
Sunday Today after breakfast we head to Warwick. Warwick is in the heart of England and borders the northern extremities of the Cotswolds. It is the capital town of the English county of Warwickshire and situated 11 miles south of Coventry. After time here we make the short journey to Stratford-upon-Avon, famously known as the birthplace of William Shakespeare before we travel back to the hotel in time for our final evening’s dinner.
Monday After breakfast we bid farewell to our hosts as we leave for our home areas to be greeted by our awaiting taxis.
