It gives us great pleasure to return to the popular seaside town of Eastbourne, sheltered by the rolling expanse of the South Downs and the towering cliffs of Beachy Head. It enjoys a remarkably mild and sunny climate, therefore earning its ‘Suntrap of the South’ name.
The 3 star rated Victorian House Hotel is located on the seafront, having beautiful sea views and just a short walk to the pier and town centre. Tuesday Today we travel to beautiful Regency Brighton where we have time to explore the wonderful architecture including breath-taking Brighton Pavilion and the Crescent plus the pier and of course the marvellous shopping centre. We include a flight to the skies and see Sussex as you have never seen it before. Glide up slowly to 450 feet high to enjoy breath-taking 360 degree views of up to 26 miles from the world’s first vertical cable car, conceived and designed by Marks Barfield Architects, the creators of the London Eye. Later after time for lunch and a good stay we travel via the South Downs, through lovely scenery before returning to our hotel.
Wednesday This morning we have an enjoyable excursion first to lofty Beachy Head then through the lovely Cuckmere Valley villages, including East Dean, the very charming village of Alfriston where we spend some time, before returning to Eastbourne for an afternoon at leisure.
Thursday Our final day excursion takes us east through Hastings to Rye with its cobbled streets, quaint buildings and famous Thursday market. Our return is through the Rother Levels to spend time in historic Battle scene of the 1066 battle that changed the course of English history.
