Set in the 100 acre parkland of the Chatsworth Estate, home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, the Royal Horticultural Society is embarking on a new show with style and content unlike any other. The theme of the show is ‘Design Revolutionaries’ celebrating the creative genius of gardeners and garden designers from the past.
The 4 star Hellaby Hall offers guests an extraordinary combination of historical architecture and modern facilities within a great location, including its own leisure centre. This 17th Century manor house is set amongst picturesque gardens and each of the ensuite bedrooms have TV, ironing facilities, a hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. A lift serves all floors.
Friday From your front door to the waiting Club Class coach for the drive to South Yorkshire. Arriving this afternoon we have plenty of time to settle in before dinner this evening.
Saturday Today we travel to the Chatsworth Flower Show where we have the full day to enjoy its treasures. Set in the stunning grounds of Chatsworth House, the show offers the opportunity to experience Capability Brown’s unforgettable landscapes, relax on the banks of the River Derwent, indulge in views of one of the UK’s most spectacular stately homes and, of course, enjoy the abundant spectacular floral displays. Here we discover a range of Show Gardens like no other, where designers push boundaries to create daring and innovative designs. Exciting categories such as FreeForm will provide a blank canvas for designers to showcase their ground breaking ideas. The show also brings together a selection of the finest independent companies and specialist nurseries, offering a wide-range of designled products and quality plants. Late afternoon we return to our hotel with time to relax before dinner this evening.
Sunday After breakfast we bid farewell to our hosts and make our way home. We arrive in our home areas mid-afternoon to be greeted by our awaiting taxis.
