Day 2

Monday Our first stop this morning is the picturesque resort of Lynmouth where we have time to explore the narrow streets and maybe take the cliff railway to the twin village of Lynton. From here we make our way through scenic ‘Little Switzerland’, as the region is known, to the lovely village of Dunster, with its famous castle and octagonal Yarn Market. Our return takes us through Exford and the Exmoor National Park. We return to the hotel this evening for dinner.

Day 3

Tuesday Today is market day in Barnstaple and we have the morning free to explore the town with its elegant Georgian buildings. This afternoon we have a short drive to Arlington Court, an intimate and intriguing treasure house in the care of the National Trust.

Day 4

Wednesday This morning we visit the ancient seaport of Bideford, delightfully set on the banks of the River Torridge. From here we have a short drive to the Royal Horticultural Society Garden at Rosemoor where we spend the afternoon before returning to the hotel for our final evening.
