After the success of our many holidays to Bournemouth, we invite you to join us for pre- Christmas fun and cheer as we visit once again. There are seven miles of golden beaches boasting spectacular views, parks, gardens and woodlands to explore as well as much entertainment in the area. It is clean, fresh and unspoilt in spite of its popularity. The stylish resort boasts spectacular coastal views including the secret Chines which were used by smugglers to conceal their beauty in days gone by.
The 3 star rated Hallmark West Cliff Hotel is located 10 minutes from the town centre and Alum Chine beach. The hotel offers 83 bedrooms which all have Freeview TV, WiFi, a hair dryer, an iron and ironing board and tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel also offers an indoor swimming pool, sauna, steamroom and Jacuzzi. A lift serves all floor and ground floor rooms are available on request.
Monday From your front door to the waiting Club Class coach for the drive to Bournemouth. Later this afternoon we arrive at the hotel where we enjoy a welcome glass of mulled wine and a mince pies to get the festivities underway. We then have plenty of time to settle in before dinner this evening which will be followed by entertainment.
Tuesday After breakfast we make the drive to the historic city of Salisbury, which is described as the city in the countryside. With timbered buildings, an early English Gothic cathedral, which is home to the Magna Carta, there is a lot to explore. We have lots of time to explore the cities hidden gems, including Mompesson House, the Rifles Military Museum and the award-winning Salisbury Museum. After plenty of free time here we join the coach for the journey back to the hotel where we enjoy a traditional Christmas dinner with a live pianist.
Wednesday Today we enjoy the day at leisure in Bournemouth. At the hotel this afternoon, we have included a Dorset Cream Tea at the hotel for your enjoyment. Later this evening we meet up again for dinner which again is followed by entertainment.
Thursday After breakfast we travel into Hardy country with a stop in delightful Dorchester, county town of Dorset and once home to Thomas Hardy. This was Hardy’s Casterbridge and those with an interest can see many sights on the Hardy walk. After time to explore we continue to the classic seaside resort of Weymouth with its vibrant harbour. After time here we return to the hotel for a pre-dinner drink before our final dinner together which is also followed by more live entertainment.
Friday After breakfast we bid farewell to our hosts as we make our way home. Arriving later this afternoon we are greeted by our awaiting taxis.
