We invite you to join us for Christmas in Bournemouth, often referred to as the Garden City by the sea. Our destination assures us of a wonderful festive atmosphere, created both by the town centre decorations and our super hotel all in all the perfect ingredients for a memorable Christmas break.
The 3 star hotel is situated on the quiet East Cliff of Bournemouth offering spectacular views and a bright, modern interior. The hotel is just a few minutes’ walk from the seven miles of golden beaches in Bournemouth and a ten minute walk from the town centre. All of the en-suite bedrooms have a flat-screen TV with Freeview channels, WiFi, direct-dial telephone, tea/coffee facilities, iron and iron board, hair dryer and bathroom toiletries. A lift serves all floors.
Sunday From your front door to your waiting coach to begin the journey down to Bournemouth. We arrive at the Hallmark East Cliff Hotel mid-afternoon with sherry and mince pies served after we have settled in. After dinner this evening there will be musical entertainment provided.
Monday A leisurely breakfast is served before we join the coach for a pleasant morning drive into the New Forest, an enchanting expanse of ancient trees, heathland and woodland wildlife, we serve warming brandy coffees on board the coach before returning to our hotel in time for a Dorset cream tea before a bingo bonanza. This evening we join the management team for a drinks reception before dinner which is followed by entertainment from a live band. For those returning from midnight mass, boozy hot chocolate will be served.
Tuesday Enjoy a glass of Bucks Fizz with breakfast to start the Christmas celebrations. Spend the morning enjoying the stunning views or take a walk along the seafront to work up an appetite for our traditional Christmas lunch which will be followed by the Queen’s Speech. A light buffet will be served later this evening.
Wednesday Our first visit of the day is Romsey, the setting of TV’s ‘Inspector Wexford’ programmes. Each year Romsey hosts an impromptu Classic Car meet when proud owners crowd the streets with classic cars of all marques. We return to the hotel for a light buffet lunch before we attend an afternoon performance of the Sleeping Beauty at the Bournemouth Pavilion theatre. This evening we enjoy our four course dinner which will be followed by a final evening of entertainment.
Thursday After breakfast we bid farewell to Bournemouth and our hosts at the East Cliff Hotel. We travel by way of Salisbury, Stonehenge and Oxford to arrive in our home area mid-afternoon.
