The Imperial Hotel is the most historic in Blackpool and is located on the North Promenade. This stunning Victorian building has 180 modern bedrooms, a health club with indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room and fitness suite. All of the bedrooms are en-suite and have a TV with tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel has a lift that serves all floors.
Monday From your front door to the Club Class coach for the drive north to Blackpool. Arriving mid-afternoon, we are welcomed by tea/coffee and cakes which is followed by time to relax before dinner.
Tuesday This morning we have a short drive along the coast to nearby Fleetwood with chance to visit the Freeport Shopping Outlet and grab a bargain. There is also chance to visit Fleetwood’s more traditional market, situated in Adelaide Street and is known as one of the largest markets in the North West. After time here we return to Blackpool with time before dinner.
Wednesday We take a relaxing tour of the Fylde on our way Carnforth Station Heritage Centre where we enjoy the nostalgia of the station, which has been restored to its 1940s glory when the Refreshment Room was used as the setting for David Lean’s film “Brief Encounter”. Next we visit the historic city and port of Lancaster we visit the romantic Ashton Memorial then spend time in the city with its wealth of old buildings and of course modern retail outlets
Thursday After breakfast we make a visit to the Lake District, England’s premier beauty spot. We visit Bowness with time to explore and maybe enjoy a stroll by the lake. Later we board a Lake Cruise for an informative ride to Ambleside where there will be plenty of time to obtain lunch before we follow the shore road along Lake Windermere and return via Newby Bridge to Blackpool for our final evening’s dinner.
Friday After breakfast we bid farewell to our hosts and make our way home. We arrive in our home areas mid-afternoon to be greeted by our awaiting taxis.
