Based on elements of Victor Hugo’s novel of the same name, Les Misérables tells the epic tale of one man's struggle to break free from his past and create a new life for himself and his surrogate daughter in post-Revolutionary France, where discontent amongst the students boils over to create a powerful story of fraternity, equality and freedom. Since premiering at the Barbican Theatre in 1985, Les Misérables has been produced around the world in 44 countries, translated into 22 languages and been seen by over 70 million people. You will be swept up in the show’s epic drama, scale and timeless songs, including “I Dreamed a Dream”, “On My Own”, “Bring Him Home” and “One Day More”. The show's longevity has been cemented by the successful film adaptation, released in 2012, although there is nothing quite like seeing the show live in its original production in the West End which has been running for 34 years!
