George Albert Hotel - 3 Star

The 3 star family owned George Albert hotel is situated in a peaceful location just outside Dorchester and offers all the facilities one would expect from a new hotel whilst retaining a friendly atmosphere. All the modern en-suite rooms are equipped with TV, telephone, tea/coffee making facilities and hairdryer. There is a large informal restaurant, a relaxing bar and outside terrace. A recently added spa offers the opportunity for extra papering and relaxation. All floors are served by lift.



Your Itinerary:



Day 1

Sunday From your front door to the waiting Club Class coach for the leisurely journey south making a stop in Salisbury with its fine medieval Cathedral before continuing on to the welcoming George Albert Hotel. We arrive midafternoon with time to settle in before dinner.


Day 2

Monday After a leisurely breakfast we enjoy a drive along the Jurassic Coast from Lyme Regis to Seaton then on to Beer and Sidmouth for free time. This lovely seaside town nestles beneath majestic red cliffs and the green hills of the glorious Sid Valley. Enjoy beautiful Regency history and friendly shops before returning to the hotel with time to relax before dinner and an evening of musical entertainment.


Day 3

Tuesday This morning we take a scenic drive to visit maritime Poole, a bustling town with an historic quayside, shops, famous pottery and home to Europe’s largest natural harbour. This afternoon we continue to Kingston Lacy an elegant National Trust country mansion set in attractive formal gardens and extensive parkland. We include admission to the beautiful house and have time to discover the immaculate gardens.


Day 4

WednesdayWe spend the morning in Dorchester, the county town of Dorset, with its busy weekly market. Forever associated with the author Thomas Hardy we view his cottage in Bockhampton early afternoon we take a drive to nearby Weymouth a noted Georgian resort our drive takes across the causeway to the Isle of Portland for tremendous views of the famous lighthouse and Weymouth Bay before spending the rest of the afternoon in Weymouth.


Day 5

Thursday Departing after breakfast for a leisurely journey home to be met by our door to door service at the end of a relaxing holiday.
