This relaxed pace, new tour offers the chance to explore some of Norfolk’s best seaside destinations as well as visit some interesting towns. We include a gentle cruise, a visit to Bressingham Gardens and entrance to Somerleyton Hall along with 3 nights of entertainment.
The family owned and run Palm Court Hotel stands in a quiet location on Great Yarmouth’s seafront. Hotel facilities include a heated indoor swimming pool, a range of good seating areas and two bars. All of the pleasantly decorated and well equipped en-suite bedrooms have a TV, telephone, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel has a lift that serves all floors.
Sunday From your front door to the waiting Club Class coach for the drive east to Great Yarmouth. We arrive this afternoon with plenty of time to settle in before dinner. Hotel entertainment will be provided on three evenings of our stay.
Monday After breakfast we have the day at leisure to explore our lovely seaside town with all it has to offer the holidaymaker.
Tuesday Today we make a visit to Wroxham and the charming Norfolk Broads where we enjoy a cruise around the picturesque broads. After our cruise we head west to Norwich. A visit to the cathedral is a must as well as its cobbled Elm Hill, the famous market and the Castle Mall shopping complex. Following time to explore, we return to the hotel in time for dinner.
Wednesday Today’s excursion takes us down the coast and into Suffolk to the timeless and delightful resort of Southwold which is practically unchanged Victorian times. This afternoon we head inland to Diss and Blooms of Bressingham Garden Centre. Here we visit nearby Bressingham Gardens and Steam Museum, with its gardens famous for their excellence. We return to the hotel for dinner this evening.
Thursday We head to North Walsham where we can enjoy its weekly market. We enjoy time to explore and perhaps get something to eat before joining the coach for the afternoon drive to Cromer. Here we time at leisure to wander around and perhaps visit the famous pier or Cromer Museum.
Friday We begin with a drive south to Oulton Broad and Lowestoft with chance to explore and obtain lunch before we make our way to magnificent Somerleyton Hall. The Hall is an early Victorian Mansion with Jacobean origins and is set in a 400 acre wooded park with 12 acres of gardens with a maze, tearoom and gift shop. We return to the hotel this afternoon for our final evening’s dinner.
Saturday We bid farewell to our hosts and make our way home. We arrive in our home areas to be greeted by our awaiting taxis.
