Your Itinerary:

Day 1

Monday From your front door to the Club Class coach for the cross country drive to the English Riviera, where we arrive at our hotel with time to settle in before dinner.

Day 2

Tuesday Our day begins with a coastal tour of Devon. Following the shore road we pass through Teignmouth and Dawlish and continue north to the Cathedral City of Exeter. We take a break here and have time to explore the city before we continue along the Exe estuary to the pleasant resort of Exmouth. There is time for lunch before we enjoy a cruise around the River Exe discovering the history, beauty and wildlife of the river.

Day 3

Wednesday This morning we drive to Newton Abbot where it’s market day. Enjoy a browse around the stalls and a look at the town where you can obtain some lunch. Leaving Newton Abbot we have a ride to Buckfastleigh where we join the South Devon Railway. Originally a Great Western Railway branch line, the line hugs the Dart estuary on the journey to Totnes. On arrival you can stretch your legs before the train returns to Buckfastleigh. The railway offers and extensive museum, workshops, gifts and book shop and refreshment rooms. After time to explore we return to the hotel.

Day 4

Thursday We head into the South Hams region of Devon. First we take a break in Kingsbridge, ‘capital’ of South Devon, with a chance to look around the pleasant town. Moving on we head for delightful Dartmouth with its many naval connections, including the Royal Navy College. We can take lunch here and you can enjoy a lovely stroll along the busy harbour, or just sit and watch the boats. Late afternoon we return to the hotel with time to relax before dinner.

Day 5

Friday After breakfast we bid farewell to our hosts and make our way home. We arrive to be greeted by our awaiting taxis after a delightful break.
