Your Itinerary:

Day 1

Monday From your front door to the waiting Club Class coach for the drive south. Upon arrival we have a welcoming tea, coffee and biscuits before time to settle in and dinner.

Day 2

Tuesday Today we make a visit to the historic maritime centre of Portsmouth, home of the Royal Navy and birthplace of one of England’s greatest writers, Charles Dickens. Ideally situated, Portsmouth is the UK’s only island city. We include a visit to the Spinnaker Tower for fabulous views of the Solent from 328ft up. The city has a rich culture as shown in a visit to any of the museums, including the Historic Dockyard and galleries.

Day 3

Wednesday After breakfast we make the journey to Dorchester, the county town of Dorset. The town is the fictional ‘Casterbridge’ of Hardy’s novels and we enjoy time here to wander around. Taking the coastal road, we drive to Weymouth for lunch and exploration, before returning to our hotel for this evening’s dinner.

Day 4

Thursday This morning we drive to the Hengistbury Head Visitor Centre which overlooks Christchurch harbour and offers amazing scenery. After a brief stop, we continue to Lymington, a pretty Georgian market town in the south of the New Forest. We have chance to enjoy lunch and to wander around before venturing further into the New Forest. Midafternoon we arrive in the town of Lyndhurst, which is known as the capital of the New Forest since the times of William the Conqueror. Later we re-join the coach and make our way back to the hotel for our final evening’s dinner.

Day 5

Friday After our final breakfast we bid farewell to our hosts and make our way home. Travelling north we make use of the motorways to arrive in our home areas late afternoon to be greeted by our awaiting taxis.
