It boasts comprehensive leisure facilities including an indoor swimming pool, sauna, hot tub and steam room. Monday From your front door to the waiting Club Class coach for the drive north west to Blackpool. Later this afternoon we arrive at our hotel to be greeted by a welcome cup of tea or coffee and a slice of cake. We then enjoy time to settle in before we meet again for dinner.
Tuesday A full English breakfast marks the start of another day before we depart on our excursion to visit to England’s premier beauty spot, the Lake District. We visit Bowness where we include a pleasant ride on lovely Lake Windermere on board one of the covered cruisers before heading to Wordsworth’s Grasmere to spend time. We return to the hotel with time to relax before dinner.
Wednesday Today we enjoy time at the famous Tower Ballroom, the most spectacular Ballroom In the world. The ornately decorated dance hall and theatre is known for its Mighty Wurlitzer organ, which is played for dancing and concerts. Our return to the hotel allows time to refresh ourselves before a visit to the ‘Viva Spirit of Christmas show’, at the Vegas Venue! A winter wonderland full of charm and surprises, with a cast of talented singers and dancers filling us with festive cheer.
Thursday A full English breakfast marks the start of another day, we take a short journey to Fleetwood Market where there will also be time to visit Freeport Fleetwood shopping village. With over 200 stalls this traditional coastal market is a true shopper’s paradise. This afternoon we enjoy a cream tea at the hotel then have an interesting Heritage talk and tour with the hotel management ending with a ‘Mayflower Spirit’ cocktail. Dinner this evening is a 1940’s event with appropriate music.
Friday This morning after breakfast, we depart Blackpool and begin out journey home. Making use of the motorways we cross the Pennines, arriving in our home area late afternoon to be greeted by our awaiting taxis.
