We are pleased to return to the Premier Resort of England, Bournemouth. This break to the south coast takes us to the New Forest and the fantastic Beaulieu; home to the National Motor Museum, Palace House & Gardens and more! We also enjoy time in Bournemouth, a visit to Salisbury Cathedral for a guided tour & cream tea with time to explore the historic city, as well as the magnificent Mottisfont House. The seven-mile stretch of unspoilt coastline and Blue Flag beaches provide the perfect backdrop for this spring getaway.
The 3 star Durley Dean Hotel stands on Bournemouth’s West Cliff just a short walk from the cliff top and town centre. Hotel facilities include a Leisure Club with indoor swimming pool, sauna and gym. This Victorian townhouse offers bright, modern rooms which are all en suite and have a television, telephone, hairdryer and tea & coffee making facilities. This hotel has a lift that serves all floors.
Monday From your front door to the waiting Club Class coach for the drive south, arriving at the Durley Dean Hotel with time to settle in before dinner.
Tuesday This morning we travel to the market town of Lymington, in the south of the New Forest where we have time to explore before we head to Beaulieu; home to The National Motor Museum, World of Top Gear, Palace House & Gardens and more! Later, we head to the town of Lyndhurst, known as the capital of The New Forest since the times of William the Conqueror. This is the perfect place for a short stop to look around the town and perhaps enjoy a drink before we return to the hotel for this evening’s dinner.
Wednesday After breakfast, we spend the day at leisure to explore Bournemouth. Take a stroll along the shore and enjoy lunch at a seafront pub, or view the delightful gardens and watch the world go by.
Thursday This morning we head to Salisbury and its famous Cathedral where we will enjoy a guided tour of the magnificent cathedral, followed by a cream tea. Afterwards we have free time to discover the city. Why not visit the award winning Salisbury Museum and Mompesson House. This afternoon we travel to Mottisfont; a romantic house and gallery set in beautiful riverside gardens. Full of surprises and plenty of interesting things to see and do at our own pace. We make our way back to the hotel for our final evening’s dinner.
Friday After breakfast we bid farewell to our hosts and make our way home. Travelling north we make use of the motorways to arrive in our home areas late afternoon to be greeted by our awaiting taxis.
