This grand and elegant 3 star hotel on the Isle of Bute was originally constructed in 1892 as a hydrotherapy retreat. Each of the bedrooms are spread over 20 to 30 square metres to ensure a comfortable stay and some offer views of Rothesay Bay. Your Itinerary:

Day 1

From your front door to the waiting Club Class coach for the journey north to our overnight hotel, the BW Derwent Manor Hotel arriving with time to relax before this evening’s dinner.

Day 2

After breakfast we continue our journey into Scotland heading for the Firth of Clyde and Wemyss Bay. Here we join the Calmac ferry for the crossing to the Isle of Bute and Rothesay, arriving late afternoon at the Glenburn Hotel for our 4 night stay.

A full day of spectacular scenery as we make our way first to the north of the island and to Rhubodach. Here we join the ferry for the 10 minute crossing over to Colintrave, continuing northwards to Loch Fyne. We follow the coast road around the tip of the loch, turning south to the lovely little white washed town of Inverary. There will be time for a look around and a bite to eat before our afternoon visit to the magnificent, unique and fascinating Inverary Castle, the ancestral home of the Duke of Argyll.
